Boards of Directors 

Below are the members of the boards of directors for Enbridge Energy Company, Inc. (EECI), the general partner of Enbridge Energy Partners, L.P., and Enbridge Energy Management, L.L.C. (EEQ), which manages the business and affairs of the Partnership.

Martha O. Hesse is chairman of the boards effective May 1, 2007. Ms. Hesse was elected a director of EECI and EEQ in March 2003 and is a member of the boards' Audit, Finance & Risk Committees. Ms. Hesse is an independent investor. She was president and chief executive officer of Hesse Gas Company from 1990-2003. In addition to serving as chairman of the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission from 1986 to 1989, she served as senior vice president of First Chicago Corporation and assistant secretary for Management and Administration, U.S. Department of Energy. She also co-founded and was chief operating officer of SEI Information Technology from 1969 until 1980. Ms. Hesse serves as a director of several domestic and international public companies.

Jeffrey A. Connelly was elected a director of EECI and EEQ in January 2003 and serves as the chairman of the boards' Audit, Finance & Risk Committees. Mr. Connelly served as executive vice president of Coastal Corporation from 1995 to 2001 and as president of ANR Pipeline Company and ANR Storage Company from 1992 to 1994. He held various other positions within Coastal and its subsidiaries from 1980 to 1995, including treasurer.

J. Herb England was elected a director of the boards of EECI and EEQ in July 2010.  Mr. England has been chair and chief executive officer of Stahlman-England Irrigation Inc. (contracting company) in southwest Florida since 2000.  Previously, Mr. England was the Chief Executive Officer of Sweet Ripe Drinks Ltd. and held various executive positions with John Labatt Limited in the food, dairy and brewing industries.  Mr. England has served on the Enbridge Inc. board of directors since 2007.  

Stephen J.J. Letwin was elected managing director and as a member of the boards of directors of EECI and EEQ in May 2006. In addition to his overall responsibility for the Partnership, Mr. Letwin is responsible for all aspects of Enbridge Inc.’s natural gas operations, including oversight of Enbridge Gas Distribution and Enbridge Gas New Brunswick. He is also responsible for international operations and the Alliance and Vector natural gas pipelines. Mr. Letwin joined Enbridge Inc. as president and chief operating officer of Energy Services in 1999. He was responsible for leading the relatively new retail energy services business unit to profitability—and for its subsequent sale. Prior to that he held senior executive positions with a number of companies in the United States and Canada focusing on the energy transmission, exploration and production sectors.

Terrance L. McGill was elected president and a director of EECI and EEQ in May 2006. Prior to joining EECI in 2002 as vice president of Commercial Activity and Business Development for the Natural Gas Segment, Terry was president of Columbia Gulf Transmission Company and senior vice president of Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation since 1996. He has held various executive positions with Transwestern Pipeline Company and Northern Natural Gas Company. Terry formerly served as chairman of the Texas Pipeline Association and was a member on the North American Energy Standards Board. He has served as a member of the board of directors of the Southern Gas Association; on the executive board of the New Mexico Oil and Gas Association; and on the Pacific Coast Gas Association executive marketing board. 

George K. Petty was elected a director of EECI in February 2001 and of EEQ in May 2002 and serves on the boards' Audit, Finance and Risk Committees. He served as president and chief executive officer of Telus Corporation from November 1994 to November 1999, and is a business consultant. Mr. Petty also serves on the boards of directors for FuelCell Energy, Inc. and Enbridge Inc.

Dan Westbrook was elected a director of EECI and EEQ in October 2007 and is a member of the boards' Audit, Finance & Risk Committees. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Westbrook served as president of BP China Gas, Power & Upstream and as vice-chairman of the board of directors of Dapeng LNG, a Sino joint venture between BP subsidiary CNOOC Gas & Power Ltd. and other Chinese companies. He held executive positions with BP in Argentina, Houston, Russia, Chicago and The Netherlands before retiring from the company in January 2006. From August 2002 to June 2004, Mr. Westbrook served as director and chairman of the finance committee of the International School of Beijing. He also serves on the board of Knowledge Systems Inc., a privately held U.S. company that provides software and consultant services to the oil and gas industry, and Synenco Energy Inc., a Calgary-based oil sands company.

Stephen J. Wuori was elected a director of EECI and EEQ in January 2008 and is the executive vice president of Liquids Pipelines for the Partnership. He was previously  executive vice president, chief financial officer and Corporate Development of Enbridge Inc. from 2006 to 2008, group vice president and chief financial officer of Enbridge Inc. from 2003 to 2006, group vice president, Corporate Planning and Development of Enbridge Inc. from 2001 to 2003 and president of Enbridge Pipelines Inc. and EECI from 1997 to 2000.
